#BeAGameChanger

Today I got a rather surprising email. There are a set of awards called the #BeAGameChanger awards run by the Women's Sports Trust. They are intended to recognise people and organisations who have done the most to progress women's sport. I was lucky enough to be nominated in the Sporting Role Model - Individual category and I am even more stunned to have been placed 'Highly Commended' in this year's awards. I really am truly humbled to find my name on the same list as some amazing athletes. What's more, I am delighted to see greater recognition for Aerobatics as a sport and for it to be featured alongside mainstream sports - this rarely happens and I just hope that we can continue to raise awareness.

I wish all those shortlisted the very best of luck in the competition and encourage you to vote for those you think most deserve to win - I'm pretty confident that everyone short listened has made some amazing contributions to women's sport. Public voting opens on the 18th April at this website:
